Hi, my name is Troy Wiedeman. I am a small business owner and I wear many hats, so I know about the difficulties of running a small business. I have been running my own Houston computer repair business for 12 years and I have built some good business relationships and friendships during that time. Over the past few years, I have been helping my computer clients build better websites and optimize them to bring in more traffic. During this time, I sharpened my Search Engine Optimization skills and expanded to help others with their sites.
I built the SEO Audit Services website to achieve the goal of educating small business owners about Internet Marketing and SEO, not to profit from their ignorance. I have been involved with the Internet Marketing industry for several years and I could be considered an algoholic as I study Google’s Algorithm to keep up with their constant changes to their formula. Google uses this Algorithm to determine the order that websites are listed in search results.
Anyone can do what I do. It’s not rocket science, but it requires very hard work and long hours over the course of a few months to a few years to attain the # 1 spot for a competitive keyword. If you own a credit card processing company and you want to be # 1 for the keyword phrase “credit card” and your website is only a month old, then you can expect to wait 5-10 years to get that # 1 ranking. The # 1 search listing for credit cards has over 150,000 links to its site and its growing. But, it is attainable if you work hard and believe in what you are doing.
It great to strive to achieve the # 1 spot for “credit card” but while we are working on that, why not go for some of the easier related keywords so we can start benefiting from out efforts in only a couple of months or less. Using the credit card example from above, if we were to target the keyword phrase ”credit card processing for small business”, we would have a much easier time getting the # 1 spot. This phrase is searched for about 3,600 times a month and the top spot only has about 150 links to it, so its a much weaker target than “credit cards”.
The credit card example is exactly why I have a specific process that I run through to thoroughly examine my clients situation to achieve better goals in the long run:
The Audit gives me an idea of where your site is at today and what issues we need to focus on. The Keyword Research not only finds the best keywords but also tracks down those hidden jewels like in the credit card example above. With the Audit and proper keyword research, we can implement these strategies on your site during our On Page SEO phase which addresses titles, headings, page content and much more. Last but certainly not the least is the Link Building phase. You have to have a good on going link building strategy if you want to catch up to your competition or if you plan to stay ahead of them. Link building is the longest lasting and most expensive part of any SEO campaign, but its absolutely essential if your goal is page 1 or top 3 status.
